User Guide for Active@ UNERASER DOS:

1.2. Files Erased

When files or folders have been deleted and the partition is intact, the task is to scan the surface of the hard disk or partition in search of deleted file or folder entries.

The search area is the Root Folder (FAT) or the Master File Table (NTFS) of the partition. When deleted entries are found, the utility displays them by name and offers the user an opportunity to save whatever is recoverable to a new location.
